AZ Alkmaar Quick 2009/10 Home, Away and Third Kits

Posted by 5nil on May 11, 2009

Newly crowned Dutch Eredivisie champions AZ Alkmaar have unveiled their home, away and third Quick kits for the 2009/10 season. This follows AZ signing a three year deal with Quick for the Dutch company to become the club’s kit and training gear provider for the next three years.

Quick was founded in 1905 in Hengelo, Gelderland. It provided the official running shoes for the Olympic Games of 1928 in Amsterdam and became famous for its football boots. Quick expanded in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, but declined in the 1980s and stopped production in 1992.

Quick was relaunched in 2001 with emphasis now on retro sneakers and apparel. Many of the firm’s designs from before 1992 have returned to production.

Posted by 5nil on May 11, 2009

US President and know soccer dad Barack Obama is in the soccer news once again. This time he shows up in an interview with US-Spanish language network Univision speaking about the United States’ bid to host either World Cup 2018 or 2022.

U.S. Soccer Federation chief Sunil Gulati has long stated that the Obama’s current worldwide popularity can only improve the US’ chances of host their first FIFA World Cup since 1994.

Yes we can?!?!?!? Does Rinaldo Obama support the US’ World Cup bid?

Sport Club Corinthians Paulista Nike 2009/10 Home and Away Kits / Jerseys / Camisas

Posted by 5nil on May 11, 2009

Sport Club Corinthians Paulista is one of the most successful football team in Brazilian history, having won the first edition of the FIFA Club World Championship, the Brazilian Série A four times, the Brazilian Cup twice, the São Paulo State Championship 26 times, amongst other honours.

They’ve been in the news lately as Brazilian legend Ronaldo recently signed for them and has recaptured some of the form that made him a star in the 90s.

This weekend, Corinthians launched their 2009/10 Nike home and away kits. The white home kits were worn for the first time during yesterday’s Campeonato Brasileiro loss to Internacional. Here’s a look at the new kits from a photo shoot held late last week.

The home kit is eerily reminiscent of the Nike Korea 2008/09 home jersey. We’ve posted a picture it it below for your viewing pleasure.

Nike South Korea 2009/09 Home Jersey. Was the same template used for the Corinthians 2009/10 home kit?
