Palmeiras Adidas 2009/10 Third Kit / Camisa

Posted by 5nil on August 21, 2009

Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras, usually called Palmeiras, is a Brazilian football team from São Paulo. The team was founded on August 26, 1914, as Società Sportiva Palestra Italia but changed to the current name on September 14, 1942. It is one of the most popular Brazilian clubs once represented by Roque Junior, Roberto Carlos and Rivaldo.

Yesterday, Palmeiras launched their 2009/10 adidas third kit. The club has stated that the use of blue for the kit’s colour pays tribute to Palmeiras’ Italian heritage. The Italian national team has traditionally worn blue.

The adidas template used for Palmeiras’ new kit is not unfamiliar to many of us since it has been seen before on the 2009/10 Bayern Munich and Chelsea FC adidas home kits.

Unfortunately, there were no soccer babes on hand for the launch of the Palmeiras 09/10 third kit as was the case with the launch of the team’s 09/10 home and away kits.

The team will be using them in their upcoming Campeonato Brasileiro Série A games. The club is currently in first place in the league table.

Posted by 5nil on August 20, 2009

Like us, you may have never heard of Durazno Fútbol Club before. Apparently they are a football club from Durazno in Uruguay currently playing in the Uruguayan 2nd Division (La Segunda División Uruguay).

However, Durazno are now on the verge of internet fame via the launch of the 2009/10 Topper home and away kits via the use of several Uruguay soccer babes.

While the kit launch wasn’t quite as revealing as the now infamous Vélez Sársfield Soccer Babes in Thongs Kit Launch, it does show that Durazno knows how to gain attention when dropping new jerseys.

Check out our 2009/10 Kits and Jerseys section for more new kits and our Babes section for more soccer-related eye candy.
