Relaunched: Feyenoord Rotterdam Puma 2009/10 Home and Away Kits / Jerseys

Following fan complaints about the look of the original Feyenoord Rotterdam Puma 2009/10 home and away kits, the club and Puma have made several alterations to the team’s strips for next season. The new look kits were presented to the public at Feyenoord’s website earlier today. Given that the Puma 09/10 kits are now available for sale at the Feyenoord online shop, they should be the final product. PSV Eindhoven Nike 2009/10 Away Kit / Jersey

Dutch powerhouse PSV Eindhoven have launched their Nike away kit for the 2009/10 Eredivisie season. After a 4th place league finish for the 08/09 season, the Boeren will be looking to return to the summit of Dutch football.

The Nike 09/10 PSV kit features a simple design highlighted by a checkered stripe on the left side of the kit featuring the club’s traditional red and white colours. It was designed with input from various PSV Eindhoven supporters groups.

FC Twente Diadora 2009/10 Home Kit / Thuistenue

FC Twente is a Dutch professional football club from the city of Enschede that recently finished the 2008/09 season in second place in the Dutch Eredivisie. They are currently managed by former Middlesbrought and England manager Steve McClaren.

Yesterday, FC Twente, Diadora and players Jeroen Heubach and Blaise Nkufo presented the club’s home kit (or “thuistenue” in Dutch if you prefer) for the 2009/10 season. It will be worn for the first time during this Sunday’s KNVB Cup final against Heerenveen.

Here’s a look at the retro-inspired FC Twente Diadora 2009/10 home kit. Diadora and FC Twente claim that it was designed based on input from FC Twente’s fans.

AZ Alkmaar Quick 2009/10 Home, Away and Third Kits

Newly crowned Dutch Eredivisie champions AZ Alkmaar have unveiled their home, away and third Quick kits for the 2009/10 season. This follows AZ signing a three year deal with Quick for the Dutch company to become the club’s kit and training gear provider for the next three years.

Quick was founded in 1905 in Hengelo, Gelderland. It provided the official running shoes for the Olympic Games of 1928 in Amsterdam and became famous for its football boots. Quick expanded in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, but declined in the 1980s and stopped production in 1992.

Quick was relaunched in 2001 with emphasis now on retro sneakers and apparel. Many of the firm’s designs from before 1992 have returned to production.

Feyenoord Rotterdam Puma 2009/10 Home and Away Kits / Jerseys

Feyenoord and Puma presented the new 20009/10 home and away kits today. Feyenoord will wear the Puma kits in the next season of the Dutch Eredivisie.

The new kits were designed after a discussions among Feyenoords supporters, the club and Puma. As expected, the traditional colours of the home shirt have been maintained while black and green were chosen for the away kit.

“We have listened to the fans who wanted to see the colour green return in the 09/10 away kit “said general manager Sander van Gelder of Puma Benelux.

The 2008/09 Feyenoord 100th Anniversary logo will be replaced with the normal Feyenoord logo for next season’s kit. A star indicating that Feyenoord has won more than 10 Dutch league titles in the past will be placed above the logo. The back of the shirts’ collars will feature the logo of the city of Rotterdam.

“We have included the designs details that the fans like to see on the uniforms. We are therefore very pleased with the final result” said van Gelder.

The Feyenoord Rotterdam Puma 2009/10 home and away will be available from the beginning of the next season in the fan shop and all other official outlets.
