Alexander Hleb FC Barcelona Official Presentation

Barcelona’s new player Belarus international midfielder Alexander Hleb dons the teams 2008-09 home kit as he plays with a ball on July 16, 2008 at the Nou Camp stadium in Barcelona during Hleb’s official presentation. Hleb signed for Catalan giants Barcelona from English Premiership side Arsenal for 15 million euros on a four year contract which will see him team up again with another former Gunner in Thierry Henry.

Glasgow Celtic Nike 2008-09 Home and Goalkeeper Kits / Jerseys

CELTIC today officially unveiled their new home kit. It uses Nike Sphere Dry fabric technology, first used by Nike in national team kits worn in the 2006 World Cup. This technology is designed to enhance player performance by wicking sweat through the material and away from the skin. The fabric has a three-dimensional design with raised nodes on the underside that lift it away from the players’ bodies to reduce ‘cling’ and allow air to circulate, assisting the body’s own natural evaporation process.

On the inside collar of the shirt, similar to the new gold away kit, are the words: “It’s not the creed nor nationality that counts. It’s the man himself,” a quote from Willie Maley, one of the most iconic figures in the club’s history and words which proudly demonstrate Celtic as a club open to all.

New Chelsea football club signing Portuguese defender Jose Bosingwa holds a team shirt with Chelsea Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari during a press conference at the Chelsea FC training ground in Cobham, on July 16, 2008. Chelsea signed Portugal right-back Jose Bosingwa from Porto for 16.2 million pounds (20.5 million euros) on May 12, 2008. The 25-year-old agreed a three-year contract with the Champions League finalists.

Cagliari Calcio Macron 2008-09 Home, Away, and Goalkeeper Kits / Jerseys / Maglie

June 14, 2008 – Italian Serie A team, Cagliari, have launched their Macron 2008-09 kits. Team players Federico Marchetti, Andrea Lazzari and Davide Astori served as the models for the kits’ launch.

Cagliari finished in 14th place in last season’s Serie A.

Southampton FC Umbro 2008-09 Home, Away and Goalkeeper Kits / Jerseys

Once a Premiership fixture, Southhampton FC have been lingering in the Championship for the past 2 seasons. Last seaon, they narrowly escaped relegation to the third tier of English football, League One, thanks to the late season heroics of players like Stern John.
