Atlético Mineiro Lotto 2008-09 Centenary Third Kit / Jersey / Camiseta

Atlético Mineiro have debuted their Centenary third kit. It was manufactured by Lotto for the team’s 08/09 season only.

The the Centenary third kit will be sold as a limited edition with only five thousand being made available to the public. Atlético Mineiro will wear the kit for the first time against Botafogo in Mineirăo in a  Copa Sudamericana match.

The kit was designed by Pina and Sthefan Ko. Both designers created the  Atlético Mineiro Centennial Collection along  with the Lotto and Athletic.

This kit is truly a work of art but might be hard to come by. eBay anyone?

Wales Squad for 2010 World Cup Qualifiers Against Azerbaijan and Russia

Wales manager John Toshack has added Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams and Nottingham Forest forward Robert Earnshaw to his squad for next month’s 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Russia.

Wales begin their bid for a place at the FIFA World Cup 2010 finals in South Africa against minnows Azerbaijan in Cardiff on Sept 6 before visiting Gus Hiddink’s revitalized Russia four days later.

Toshack’s squad includes eight players who have also been included in the Welsh Under-21 squad for a Sept 9 qualifier against Romania.

August 25, 2008 – Darren Fletcher scored for the second straight game, and Manchester United defeated Portsmouth 1-0 Monday night for its first English Premier League victory of the season.

Fletcher scored in the 33rd minute for the two-time defending league champions, who opened with a 1-1 tie against Newcastle.

Chelsea and Liverpool both are 2-0 with six points, and United has four, matched by Blackburn, Hull and Newcastle. Arsenal, which lost 1-0 at Fulham on Saturday, has three.

Portsmouth is 0-2 in the league this season after winning the FA Cup in May.
