Wales manager John Toshack has added Middlesbrough defender Rhys Williams and Nottingham Forest forward Robert Earnshaw to his squad for next month’s 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Russia.
Wales begin their bid for a place at the FIFA World Cup 2010 finals in South Africa against minnows Azerbaijan in Cardiff on Sept 6 before visiting Gus Hiddink’s revitalized Russia four days later.
Toshack’s squad includes eight players who have also been included in the Welsh Under-21 squad for a Sept 9 qualifier against Romania.
