Video: USA 2 – Honduras 1 (World Cup Qualifying Highlights & Post Game Press Conference)

The U.S. National soccer team came from one goal down on Saturday night to register a win against Honduras in Chicago in their final CONCACAF FIFA World Cup 2010 qualifier before heading off to the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.

Landon Donovan’s penalty kick and a game-winning header from team captain Carlos Bocanegra in the 68th minute in front of 55,647 fans at Soldier Field was enough for the USA to secure victory.

Video: USA 1 – Costa Rica 3 (World Cup Qualifying Highlights)

Here are the highlights of last night’s trouncing of the U.S. National Soccer team by the Ticos of Costa Rica in a CONCACAF zone FIFA World Cup 2010 Qualifying match.

Alvaro Saborio started the scored at 79 seconds in the second-fastest goal against the United States in a World Cup qualifier.

After some well done team play that shredded a shaky U.S. defence, Celso Borges notched a goal in the 13th minute. Pablo Herrera all but ended the match as a competition the with a goal in the 69th.

Landon Donovan converted a penalty kick in the second minute of second-half stoppage time to make the final score less embarassing for Team USA.

On April 1, we saw the US Men’s National Team demolish Trinidad and Tobago in a CONCACAF FIFA 2010 World Cup Qualifier in Nashville, TN. Now here’s some new HQ video of the match produced by US Soccer. It features, on the field footage, an interview with hat trick hero Jozy Altidore, pre-game, post-game and half-time team talk footage.

This is a must see for all US soccer fans.

Here’s some video of the USA and Trinidad & Tobago soccer teams training in  ahead of tommorrow’s CONCACAF zone FIFA World Cup Qualifier @ LP Field in Nashville, TN.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 in the US at 7:30 PM ET. Both teams are attempting to follow up respectable performances at World Cup 2006 with trips to next year’s finals in South Africa.

Russia Adidas 2009/10 New Home and Away Kits / Jerseys

Yesterday, the Russian Football Union and Adidas presented the Russian National Football Team’s new kits for the rest of their UEFA zone FIFA World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign. This follows the RFU’s recent lucrative deal with Adidas. Russia will wear the new kits for the first time over then next week as they host Azerbaijan at home on March, 28th and travel to Liechtenstein on April 1.

The Russia 2009/10 home and away kits are now available for purchase at Subside Sports.

Russia Adidas 2009/10 New Home and Away Kit Designs

Late last year, the Russia Football Union signed a lucrative deal with Adidas. Shortly thereafter, the Russian national side debuted what appeared to be their FIFA 2010 World Cup Qualifying kits. However, those may have been only temporary as sport.ru has now obtained what may be new kits for Russia’s World Cup run. Here’s your first look at the new Russian kit designs that Andrei Arshavin and company are expected to in their run to South Africa 2010.

Video: CONCACAF World Cup Qualifier Highlights & Summaries for November 19, 2008

The USA, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Costa Rica have qualified for the final round of CONCACAF World Cup 2010 qualifying. The draw to determine the placement of teams in the CONCACAF Final Round hexagonal for 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying will take place on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. local time in Johannesburg. Teams will learn their opponents as well as home and away dates for all 10 Final Round qualifiers that will determine the three automatic berths for CONCACAF in 2010 in South Africa.

US National Soccer Team Training Roster for the Guatemala World Cup 2010 Qualifier

U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Bob Bradley has selected 19 players for a four-day training camp from Nov. 12-16 in Colorado. After the camp and the players’ next club matches, Bradley will announce the roster for the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Guatemala. The qualifier is scheduled for Nov. 19 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. Given that the U.S. has already qualified for the next round of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers and his training camp selection, Bradley’s roster will be very experimental.
