Following the release of the Blackburn Rovers 2009/10 Umbro away kit, there is now a credible-looking leak of the English Premier League club’s 09/10 home kit making the rounds in cyberspace.

The basic of the new kit design follows Blackburn’s classic blue and white look. The Umbro template used for the kit appears to be the same used for the Sunderland 2009/10 home kit. 80s retro necklines are back!

Blackburn Rovers Umbro 2009/10 Away Kit / Jersey

After a week of updating a teaser for the Blackburn Rovers Umbro 2009/10 away kit, the real thing has been unveiled courtesy of expert modeling by defender Neil Warnock!

The new kit will see the Rovers wear a white away shirt for the first time in their history along with striking red shorts and socks. Blackburn’s 2009/10 kits will be sponsored by Crown Paints for the second year in a row.

Blackburn’s 2009/10 kits will again be made by Umbro and sponsored by Crown Paints.

Video: Benfica vs. Blackburn Rovers Extended Highlights (Pre-season Friendly)

Blackburn Rovers claimed an impressive 3-2 pre-season friendly triumph over Benfica on Friday evening.

Morten Gamst Pedersen, Jason Roberts and Brett Emerton were all on target for Paul Ince’s side on an entertaining night in Portugal.

The Premier League side went a goal down on seven minutes when Jonathan Urretavizcaya pounced on a rebound.

But Rovers struck twice in the space of two minutes to turn the game around, with Pedersen dispatching an excellent free-kick and Roberts slotting home in the 35th minute.

Emerton extended Blackburn’s advantage, connecting with Pedersen’s cross, before Benfica netted a consolation via Ariza Makukula’s effort.

Blackburn Rovers Umbro 2008-09 Away Soccer Kit / Jersey

When the Paul Ince, David Bentley and the rest of the Rovers are away from Ewood Park in the 2008-09 season, this is the new shirt they’ll be sporting. This cool away jersey is dark midnight navy or “new navy” with bright royal blue trim on front with white and royal blue vertical strip. The team’s crest is embroidered over the heart area, with Umbro logo on right, and Blackburn’s new sponsor logo on the center chest.
