Athletic Bilbao Umbro 2009/10 Kits / Camisetas

2009 Spanish Copa del Rey finalists Athletic Club de Bilbao have presented their Umbro home and away kits for the 2009/10 Spanish La Liga season.

This follows a period of hype from Umbro under with the theme Hello! We are Football. The pre-release marketing campaign included a website (www.hellowearefootball.com) that featured teasers of Athletic Bilbao’s 09/10 kits.

The Athletic Club de Bilbao Umbro 09/10 home kit appears to use the same Umbro design as the Hearts home kit while the  away kit appears to use the same template as the new Swansea City home kit.

Athletic Bilbao 2008/09 Copa del Rey Final Kit / Jersey / Camiseta

On April 16th, 2009, Spanish Copa del Rey finalists Athletic Club de Bilbao presented the jersey that they will wear for the Copa del Rey Final on May 13th against FC Barcelona. The club also presented a range of commemorative items designed for the Athletic Bilbao’s one chance at silverware this season. Here are some pictures from the event.

Athletic Bilbao 2008-09 Home and Away Kits / Jerseys / Camisetas

Athletic Club is a Spanish football club from Bilbao in Biscay, Basque Country, Spain. The club has played in the Primera División of La Liga since its start in 1928. Of the founding members, only Real Madrid, and FC Barcelona have never been relegated. Athletic are historically one of the most successful clubs in Spain. They have won La Liga on eight occasions.

Athletic confirmed on Wednesday that for the next three seasons, the logo of Bilbao-based oil company Petronor will adorn the famous red and white striped shirts.

The 110-year-old club, who retain a policy of only recruiting Basque players, have until now shunned the chance to cash in on shirt advertising, although they did promote the local region on their jerseys for free during their UEFA Cup campaign four years ago.
