Since then Chivas USA has announced the lucky young ladies who will serve as the 2009 Chiva USA cheerleaders. Without any further adieu, we present the 2009 ChivaGirls! Their audition pictures follow the squad list.
At age 37, Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O’Neal may not have much time left in the world of the NBA. However, soccer goalies can easily play into their 40s. Based on the video below, it looks like the the 7-1, 325-pound NBA legend has decided to test the soccer abilities against team mates and credible soccer players Steve Nash and Leandro Barbosa.
Though the video doesn’t show it, Nash unleashed a Beckhamesque right-footer that left Shaq dumbfounded. Barbosa wasn’t able to replicate Nash’s feat however.

Santa Fe Corporación Deportiva (commonly known by its old name, Independiente Santa Fe), hails from Bogotá and is one of the most popular Colombian football teams. They finished in 11th place in last season’s Fútbol Profesional Colombiano season.
Yesterday Santa Fe and Umbro official presented the Cardenales’ 2009/10 home kits at Bar Punto G. They are of the same style as the 2009/10 West Ham United and Everton home kits.

Former Manchester United striker and current Sunderland player-coach Dwight Yorke was spotted in the Caribbean island of Trinidad yesterday. Renowned for his playboy lifestyle, Yorke was seen frolicking in the island sunshine during Trinidad’s annual Carnival celebration.
Since Trinidad and Tobago captain Yorke is suspended for the nation’s upcoming CONCACAF FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Honduras and USA, we doubt that he was there to prepare for them. Perhaps this was in an effort to gain flexibility for next week Tuesday’s clash with Liverpool.
Our favourite theory is that Yorke was scouting for talented footballers for the Sunderland AFC Ladies team.
