Partick Thistle F.C. Camouflage Puma 2009/10 Away Kit

Posted by 5nil on August 7, 2009

Partick Thistle Football Club are a professional association football club from Glasgow, Scotland currently campaigning in the Irn-Bru Scottish Football League Championship First Division.

Yesterday, in an act of true innovation,  Partick Thistle and Puma launched revealed their 2009/10 Puma away kit – the ever camouflage strip in Scottish football.

According to Partick Thistle’s website, the kit is:

…also believed to be the first camouflage strip in world football which features pink.

Official retailer Greaves Sports, kit manufacturer Puma and designers Genesis combined to come up with the concept with the pink element retained on the back of the success – on and off the park – of last year’s change top.

While it received widespread praise from media and public as well as becoming the club’s fastest ever selling kit, Thistle won five times out of six while wearing the 2008/09 pink and grey hooped top.

Whatever you may think of Partick’s 09/10 away kit, it certainly rivals the FC Lorient Duarig 2009/10 Kit Collection for creativity.
